Production Design & Fabrication

About Mitch
My name is Mitch. I am a graduate of Savannah College Art and Design majoring in Production Design: Set and Art Direction. I design and fabricate props, costumes and sets. The excitement of exploration fuels my creativity, and I am constantly discovering a new voice by experimenting with new ideas, methods, matertials and subject matter.
I grew up in New Orleans surrounded by a community full of art and music. I am inspired by the colors and materiality of Mardi Gras, and it remains to be the root of my creations. I use a wide range of sources to arrive at finished product. I merge technology, such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Photoshop with my passion for hands-on fabrication including painting, drawing, mold-making, sculpting and carpentry. I have completed projects in theatre, film, themed entertainment, and stop motion. I am searching for my next adventure to further my creative explorations!
I LOVE...
Puzzles, anything miniature, landscape architecture and gardens, chameleons, my family, dogs, riddles, bright colors, roller blading, handmade props, sustainable architecture, old cars, chocolate milk, yard-work, abandoned buildings and theme parks, swings, laughing, artichokes, and tiny succulents.
