"Caster Library"

This is a reimagined set for the script Beautiful Creatures by Richard LaGravenese. The Caster Library is visited when the two main characters need some insight about a curse. It is a safe space for casters to find information from the world of magic. The goal of this design is to use the aesthetic of university libraries and blend magical elements to create a new world. It should feel that the room is a living being that feels welcoming.This concept is reinforced through color and lighting choices as well as special effects.

The design includes several staircases  to explore the thousands of books but be quick because they tend to reorganize themselves every so often.The ceiling of the set is the most magical of all offering a temperamental sky showcasing the emotional state of the library while giving the illusion of a never ending walls of books. Its decorative pillars of hand carved stone display the many stories of lore found in the world of the casters that move and react.
