"The Dressing Room"

I designed and drafted a French Rococo inspired dressing room fit for a queen. I was queen of a mardi gras ball called The Elves of Oberon in New Orleans, and afterwards I was so smitten with my handmade queen's dress that this drafting project used it as inspiration. The dress is hand beaded and covered in details that can be seen in the room design and wall paneling. Below are scans of hand-drafted elevations.
Fun Fact: This New Orleans ball held its first ball in 1895. The entertainment is a tableau usually comedically commenting on the politics of the time. The flower of the ball is a wild violet and the themed is center around Puck from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
